About the role
The Data Analyst is a key member of the Sales Enablement and Operations team who can review business processes, analyze data, and provide insight/recommendations for improving performance, policyholder retention, and the client experience.
Responsibilities
- Reviews, updates, Optimize and makes recommendations on business process improvements to improve performance as well minimize repetitive transaction task through robotic process automation.
- Creates, maintains, and distributes various KPI performance reports and strategic planning reports to management.
- Ad hoc data extraction, manipulation, and modification service for various team within Combined Canada.
- Working closely with IT team and Sales experience team to identify root cause of sales tools data issues or defects.
- Collaborate closely with the Compliance Team to create and generate accurate reports for both internal and external auditing requirements.
- Collaborate with the Data Team in the U.S. to validate existing data, implement changes to the data lake tables, and develop new data cubes that meet production requirements.
- Be able to quickly develop and implement business automation processes to mitigate risks and reduce chaos during internal and external crises, such as IT tool defects and disruptions from 3rd party vendor issues.
- Analyzes and determines key insights from business drivers, competitive environment, trends, and operating metrics to identify business opportunities.
- Documents key findings and assessments.
- Leads complex time-critical projects for senior leaders by quickly understanding context and developing a prioritized approach for resolution.
- Builds processes to provide automated and real-time updates of key metrics to front line business leaders.
- Works closely with business leaders to achieve outcomes based on company goals.
- Works collaboratively all stakeholders to enhance workflow and cross-departmental engagements.
- Collaborates with Sales and Finance departments to improve cost-effectiveness across operations.
- Supports and works closely with the Sale Enablement Team, Enterprise Risk Management, Actuarial, Customer Outreach and Marketing to better understand Policyholder/Agent demographics, Product behavior, Agent behavior, and sales demographics and field coverage.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree. Preference given to degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Business, Economics, Finance, Mathematics
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; translating into excellent organizational and presentation skills.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to details.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
- Good interpersonal skills to work with different management levels
- Strong business acumen.
- Strong understanding of standard business software suite (Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint)
- Advanced robotic process automation tools such as VBA and Power Automation
- Advanced in Power BI Desktop Design/Create various type of dashboards from different data source.
- Advanced T-SQL Knowledge, Fluency in Power Query, and experience in statistical and data science package in Python (Pandas, NumPy, and Scikit-learn)
- Understand Azure Data Lake Server and SQL On-premises Server.
- Understand Microsoft Dynamics CRM and Micro Focus Mainframe Terminal
- Basic Knowledge in using programming APIs.
- Adept at abstracting business needs into scalable processes.
- Adept at understanding technical processes including database architecture and management, and process automation.
- Excellent ability to handle and prioritize multiple simultaneous requests and manage time accordingly.
